Hi all

started using 2011 this week - great so far.  but every time i load revit, it removes many tools from the quick access toolbar, that i have added.  is anyone else finding this?  is there a limit to the number of tools it can take?

thanks in advance.

It is happening to me too.  I have also noticed some tools that have dissappeared won't let you R click and add them back; i.e. "Add To Quick Access Toolbar" is grayed out even though the tool is not showing up on the QAT.

I likewise am loosing the quick access tools that I have added (revit 2011).  At first I thought it was due to a power failure/incorrect shutdown, but it seems that a regular startup also leads to missing tools.

This is for 2010 MEP hope it works for 2011

Go to the link below it will explain the process. You need to open revit setup your QAT the way you want it. Find the UIState.dat file. In windows 7 look here C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit MEP 2010. Delete it and close revit, it will create a new one with your custom QAT saved in it. Restart revit your QAT sould be the way it was the last time you closed revit.

thanks for that hinzec

i had given up trying to fix the QAT.

so now, i added tools to it.  closed down, opened, and repeated it.  the QAT is holding now.  this might be because of the patch a couple of months ago!

Just upgraded to RAC2011 and its happening to me too, (didn't have this problem in RAC2010).  Don't understand or want to mess about with solution above.  Can the QAT be saved in the main menu?
