Probably a dumb question ... but how do I change the colour of a door?  I am adding an overhead sectional (garage) door to a home addition but the colour needs to change.  I can't seem to find the best way to render the door to a more desireable colour.  Ideas ??

Edit the family and set the extrusions to something other than default...something you can change in the project like OH Garage Door

Thank you for this suggestion.  It was helpful but I was hoping that Revit had a simpler way to get there ... perhaps in 2011 ??

What do you mean with: "but I was hoping that Revit had a simpler way to get there ..." do it like WW told you, edit the family, select the panel (whatever) of the door, go to the properties and in the material parameter youhave in the right side a little button where you can ADD PARAMETER, then assign the name for material... after thiswhen you load into project that doo, if you wabt to cange the color of the panel, just click on the door and go to properties, select the material oprtion and change the colour (material) you want....Simple
