Hello I am a student using Revit 2010, I have been inserting furniture into my model using the component tab but there only seems to be a limited amount, any advice on how to get more types? thanks in advance for any help

You can find content on many sources.  Here at RC, manufacturer's sites, AutoDESK SEEK and of course, you can always make your own.

Also, until you get better at creating your own furniture (which is good practice: learn how to use the modeling tools and create your own families), you can import SketchUp models.  There are a zillion items out there available for import.  But again - only use this method until you get skilled at making your own.
