Just wondering on how to create a Tilt up Panel. Also how to put the panel on a slant/angle?

You can also try to use the curtain wall... just chage the panel of the curtain wall to the wall you want (i.e., 4" or 5" concrete wall).

Are you going to place a door in it anywhere - or a window?  Then don't use a curtain wall.  Use a wall.  I would either use an in-place model - wall category or use a wall and show the tiltup divisions in another way.  I have used vertical-full thickness reveals for this in the past.

Yes you can!... once you change the panel of your curtain wall (no grid) into a concrete wall (w/c is a wall category) then  you can place any wall hosted elements. see Mr. Spot's thead below as well.

So you can place a door that crosses the line between two panels using a curtainwall ... I don't think so.

Oh.... I missread your earlier post>

"change the panel of your curtain wall (no grid)" <<<<.... What's wrong here? Why no grid?  If no grid, they why use a curtain wall?

Mr Spot said:

"Now setup the system, set the panels to be the 150mm concrete basic wall you just made, you should also create a profile for your joints and then setup a mullion type to use this profile.  Then setup your curtain wall to use this mullion for Grid 1 & Grid 2. " <<<.... Yep - he uses grids - so the panel joints can be represented as muillions.

If you set up with grids, now place a door or window that crosses a grid.

You are missing the point! You said... "Are you going to place a door in it anywhere - or a window?  Then don't use a curtain wall". where obviously you can place a door/window once you change the pane of the curtain wall to a any type of wall. Why so defensive... don't get me wrong.... i like you coz i learned a lot from you too...but  this is going out of hand.

GRINHEART,

I'm not being offended and I hope your not.  You are missing the point of my post!  A door or window can not  span across a grid line!  You have to edit the grids.  Please look at the attached and if you can do something different - please post.

I'm not being offended in anyway.... I consider this a "constructive argument" in which a lot of ppl learn a lot from including myself. Anyways... I was able to figure something out about it (see attachment).

So you had to add grid lines on above the door (window) and remove those from other areas and remove the grid from the head down  Seems a little complicated.

Vertical wall sweeps are very easy to place on regular walls.  The problem is that the wall will not schedule as individual elements whereas the curtainwall will.

Yup...that's exactly what i did. I totally agree... it's a little bit of tedious work but it can be done.
