I'm fairly unexperienced in Revit, but the company I work for is looking to explore using Revit for some SIP jobs that we regularly do. I have been able to find info that Revit can be used for this, however I have been unable to find ways of how to do it. The SIPs would be used for walls, and sometimes for roofing and flooring. We have Revit Structure 2009 to experiment with and any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to do that can't be done with wall types?  I have used SIPs with Timberframes as wall types and roofs.  Are you trying to do a structural analysis?

It's not what can't be done, it's that I have no idea how to do it. I'm basically looking to draft up models of buildings built with SIP panels. I have no idea how to show insulation between two 1/2" boards. I don't see anything existing, but I know it can be done, so I'm curious how people modify curtain walls or whatever it is they use to do it. Creating the walls would be the first step, then the roofs. Like I said, I'm quite unexperienced with Revit, but I'm the only one at my company who knows how to slightly use the program.

Both walls and floors (roofs included) have an edit assembly dialog for building layers.  Here you can specifiy materials and there thickness and placement in the wall/floor.

In the type properties dialog click the "Edit..." button for the structure under the  "Construction" parameter group.
