So I have taken an original column and made it a pilaster corner so it will show correctly in floor plan. But now how do i modify the family column solids to take on materials and show the correct hatch in floor plan as well as the correct material in a render view. Basically how do I assign materials to the solids I have added to the column family?

In the family, pick in each component, go to the properties and you can create a parameter (that little right button) for material where you can assign the texture and the pattern (surface and cut)...
