1.How do give custom gap for section line with a center segment Crying as in grid bubble where u can change the center segment into a different line weight for more readability Winking

2.I have done a Staircase with thread material and riser material and a nosing length projection of 12.5 mm. How we generally represent in plan is the nosing edge as a firm line and the waistslab edge behind the riser as dotted. i can draw detail lines but if my staircase is changing editin the lines would be a big mess. So , How do i make revit show the waist slab below it so that i can use line work and make it appear as hidden lines?.

I have attached jpeg showing both. Thanks.

1.  You can define a grid line that has a gap but you can not define a different linetype in that gap.  It would have to be an annotation line in the view that you add.

 

2.  I don't see a way to do this except by adding annotion lines.  You can use your offset / pointer to do that easily.

umm stairs looks all like the same on floor plan. Stairs are a complex family+ a masking ..if you can remove that mask, you will be able to override the LW
