Hi All,I have a problem with revisions. So here is my problem. I have two revisions on the same project (one sheet might have more than one revisions), but when we issue the drawing we want to turn off the cloud of revision 1 but leave on the tag and we also want to keep revision 2 with the clouds and the tag on.So I go to settings and go to revisions. I tell it for revision 1 to only show clouds and no tag. Then I tell it for revision 2 to show clouds and tag. Everything looks good on the first floor plan, but when I get up to the roof I want to be able to see the cloud and tag for revision 1 because we did no new revision to the roof plan, but it doesn't show it because my setting were to only show the tag for revision 1.Any ideas on how to get the cloud to turn off and on per sheet? Thanks in advance.

I found out how to solve this, but it is a workaround. If you have to revision 1 and 2 cloud for addendum 1 (revision 1) and addendum 2 (revision 2), but you want to be able to turn addendum 1 off at the foundation level, but see addendum 1 at the second floor level. The workaround I found is - you would have to change revision 1 cloud to revision 2. Then you would create a revision 1 cloud (you won't be using this cloud for it will turn off anyways) - Then for the tag on revision 2, you would host the revision 2 tag to revision 1 cloud. This would change the tag to for revision 2 to 1. Hope this is clear.

Yes, we have same problem here in our company...

A second solution with less time....we tried, having both revision clouded and taged, then hiding the revision unwanted on sheet, but tags dissapear with clouds so we add a the text symbol triangle.

works for us

i feel like you guys have made this more complicated then it needs to be.  I'm really confused as to what you guys are actually trying to do but, are you trying to do revisions by project instead of by sheet?

@ lunchtrayrider

yes

any suggestion other then making revision per sheet?

having the option of having clouds and/or tags per sheet instead of per project would be awesome that would solves it all but that is not the option

When issuing revision sets you generally issue a set of revisions at one time correct?

so on a project where your on the 5th revision you only cloud revisions made after the 4th issue? correct?

or are you trying to cloud the last revision on the sheet?

If you are trying to cloud the last revision on a sheet regardless of which revision set it is a part of you should simply make your revision settings show what you want for any particular revision set and then only print the applicable sheets. repeat until your set is complete.

this could work with either numbering by project or sheet.

make sense? there might be other ways to do this but i'm still trying to grasp what your attempting to do.
