Revit Structure: What is the best way to show a thickened slab condition. In this case it would be at an exterior door/stoop. At the door and at the perimeter of the stoop where the wall is usually held down 8" from top of slab and the slab 45's down and is doweled into the wall. thanks

just create a host profile slab and once in place you can click on it and move the ends to the area you want (the door opening)

whats the difference between a host profile slab and just creating a slab. Any pointers on creating a host profile slab. I have currently creat my 4" slab. on grade, than added a slab edge profile to it. When trying to join the slab to the thickened profile I get" Element could not be cut by joined element." The thickened slab edge is a default slabedge in revit structure. I can join on one end but not the other. Maybe I am going about it all wrong. thanks, jamie

the host profile is really to help you create what ever profile on a given path, it can be has simple as a square or as complicated as you want it to be, all you have to do is pick the edge... if it's a repeating detail it would be easier as a hosted profile. I guess you have a void in your profile, when you join the profile to the slab, the void does not cut the slab, but does it look like you want it to? does it only come up with the worning but actually work?
