I am working on a container home and i download a shipping container from revit city and i was wondering if possible how to modify it so i could add doors and windows.

If that "shipping container" is a REVIT object, you can create VOIDS to cut the object then you must use Solid Extrusions and Solid Sweeps to create those windows and doors BUT IF that "family" is a Sketchup or CAD file you can't do that..
