Can anyone tell me how to create a curved bracing or column members? I am trying to design a mid level skyscraper, and the structural system is angled. I would like to make the structural system curve around the edges so that it wraps around the building, rather than being contained within a rectangular "box", is there an easy way to achieve this effect? Would I have better luck trying to create a mass that curves????

http://newsletters.hagerman.com/newsletters/ebul44-AEC2.htm This is the best way of doing it. Unfortunately, it doesn't really understand that it's a structural member, however. You can't copy it or move it because you draw it with respect to a plane and you can't move it from this plane. It's basically just a sweep that's shaped correctly.

Also, I haven't found a way yet to make it show up correctly in plan. It will only show up in fine detail. What I did was just draw one so that we had a place to get a section from, and then hid it in the plan and just drafted lines for the curved beams. Not very efficient but I think it's the only way to do curved members right now. Let me know if you find anything better!
