Revit Structure: The wall footings display in my foundation plan as solid lines and a concrete hatch. Typically structural foundation plans show footings as hidden/dashed linetypes with no hatch. How can I do this in revit. For my column footings I was able to edit the family to not display the 3d ftg object in plan view and than draw a symbolic hidden line over the footing so it displays in my fdn plan. Do not know how to so this with the continuous wall ftgs which I think are a system family. Thanks,

setup your view range for the view so that the bottom clip plane is just above the footings, then have the view depth set below that of your footings.
Elements located between these two planes are shown using the <beyond> line type. So if you setup your beyond line type to be dashed as appropriate it should give you what you desire.
