Does Revit Structure 2010 still have the ability to import IFC formats.  It used to be under the file->import/like->IFC, right?.  I am aware that the links and imports have been moved to the ribbon(insert tab)...but Revit errors out when I try to import the file.

There is only "Revit Link" & "CAD Link" available to choose.  And the insert from file is 2D stuff only right...Currently I am currently selecting "Link CAD" and choosing all files...the the death message...

"A fatal error has occurred.  The application will be terminated.  You will be given the opportunity to save recovery files for all of your changed projects. Would you like to save a recovery file for delete me.rvt?"

Any thoughts?

if you're just looking for where the option is in 2010, just click the 'R' (top left corner) and hover over 'open' (don't click on it) in the drop down menu and another fly-out menu should appear letting you select a number of file types to open including IFC or IFC Options. If you click on open you should still be able to change ' Files of type:' from all supported files to all files (*.*) and that should allow to see IFC files as well

Thank you very much!  I did not realize that it had moved to the "open" dialog...duh.  Thanks.

FYI - i think you need to disregard the second option of clicking on Open.  I get an error that way, but the same file opens fine the first way I described
