Can anyone tell me how to create roof dormers with Revit 8?

I would first see if there's a tutorial on it, if not, just build it as if you were building a house, but smaller and trim out the wall/roof portion you don't need.

As quiller alluded to there are tutorials on creating dormers built into revit... Check out the opening tool you'll notice there is an option for dormers there.
