I have not done much with complicated walls and maybe a stacked wall is best for this option, but I am hoping for some general ideas. How can I get somethin like repeating 2d detailes in side the family to attahed to the bottom and top of a wall(system family)...is that possible. That way I could have for example: metal stud punched in the wall that are just lines in a fine view section cut. Or have brick profiles repeated up the exterior surface? This is pretty complicated..any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated. Greg

The answer is you don't. Revit's walls show the skin with a surface pattern in non-rendered views or a material pattern in rendered views and in section or plan will show the layers of wall with material indications but that's all. When you cut a detailed section, you add detail components as you need to the model section.
