OK, so I have a floor slab at an intermediate level, where top of slab is at elevation 10'-6".  On my second floor plan, I can see the edges of the intermediate floor below, even though the cut plane is set higher than the slab.  My 2nd floor plan is at elevation 14'-0".  My cut plane is at 1'-0" above reference plane (2nd FL), my below cut and depth are both at 1'-0" below reference plane (2nd FL).  There is no way I should be seeing the slab edges down at 10'-6", but I do.  See attached pics to show problem.  Can anyone help figure out why.  BTW, this is RS2010.  Thanks.

I'm curious to hear an authoratative answer on this -- I have bad luck with cut planes and view depths, and and more or less operate on a trial and error system.

If I were you, I would select these slabs, and override graphics by view to set them to invisible.  Is there any chance that you are using any plan regions within your view, perhaps?

I can definitely override the graphics, but I should not have too in this case.  The slab that is visible is clearly below the cut plane range, and simply should not be showing.  No, there are no plan regions defined.  I had excellent success with RS2009 and view ranges.  But now in 2010 I have seen a few problems.  This is one.  Another that we just had is a set of columns disappearing once we draw in the roof over them, but all of the walls show up as hidden below, as they should.  We can't figure out that one either.
