Why am I finding it impossible to add a slab edge to the slopped side of a sloped slab?

This is a know limitation of the slab edge tool. Slab edges can't be applied to the edge of a sloped slab using the "slab edge" tool. You can however place the slab edge on a flat slab, then slope the slab and the edge will follow suit. Note that the slab edge will not follow sloping slabs generated using the "modify subelements" tool. You will need to use a slope arrow or defining edge slope method.
