Hello. I am using REVIT Architecture 2009 and my question is this. What is the main difference between using the Material Takeoff function to schedule total square feet of brick versus using the Schedule Quantities function and applying a filter to give the same thing? I have noticed that when I try to use the Material Takeoff that the total area ends up being about double that of the Schedule Quantities with applied filter. I am assuming that this is because it is calculating both sides of the material while the later is only calculating a single face of the wall. Am I understanding this correctly? Please advise. Thanks!
