The attached sketch shows a gable with a clipped roof. It's like a partial hip that is part of the shingle style vocab. And ideas how i can model that? I have the gables completed but am unsure how to clip the ends off. thanks in advance?

Do you mean like this? Just split the end lines into 3 portions then set the middle to slope and set its offset from the remaining roof.

Thanks HUB for including the screen shot. i was trying to include ridge lines and that was causing errors:/ my bad. I also needed to give the midle line a base off set. that was EZ. THANK YOU!!!!!!!
