I'm trying to create a monolithic stair that follows a gentle curve. When creating the stair, I choose "run", then draw the arc from center for the required number of risers. When I click "finish stair", no errors show up...and no stair shows up either! Just the handrails. I tried splitting the boundary at each riser, but it gave me the "no more than two boundries" error. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Sorry...using RA 2010. And I'm sure that the stair visibility is on.

HAHA...I was just going to try and draw a monolithic stair anywhere with a radius to see if it would work, and I got one of those all-to-familiar flash crashes of Revit 2010. You know...the one where one second the program is there, the next its gone without any chance to save anything? I'm REALLY missing RA 2009. And so is the last 45 minutes or so of work. Dammit. Anyway...yes, I WAS sure that visibility was on. It didn't show up in plan or 3D view, while other linear stairs did. Maybe its just another bug. A "7" riser 11" tread" stair works just fine on the same radius. I guess I should just get used to thing not working for unexplained reasons in RA 2010. <sigh>

Did you install the Web updates for Revit 2010?

Yeah...installed those when our IT guy first installed it a couple months ago. Figured out they existed because after opting not to be reminded about the tutorial, it would crash whenever I tried to open a drawing. I have the required 4 GB of memory as well. I'll check and see if there's an ever newer update... I just don't understand why every program is going to this Vista "panel" configuration. I hated it when MS Office did it, and I now hate that Revit did it. I miss my toolbars stacked on the side. Ah well...adapt and overcome, I guess.
