Hi all, I am new to Revit. How would i go about building a deck of wooden posts, beams and deck planks in Revit? thanks

I use a pre-built deck project that I link and modify. It uses structural columns and beams for the framing, but a regular floor with a surface pattern to mimic the planks. Using structural components takes far too much time because of the way the beams want to 'snap' to other structural elements. I will attach it for you to see.
