I am using Revit 2010 and am having a problem with roomtags.  When I move the roomtags outside of the room the tag loses it information.  I have tried it with the leader box checked and unchecked.  I really need to move the roomtags out of the room due to the size of the rooms, any suggestions?  Thanks.

Are you selecting both the actual tag, and also the room area when you try move it?

No,  I am just selecting the roomtag.  Do I need to select the room area as well?

yea you have to select the tag + the area and move at the same time... click on the tag, then hold ctrl key on keyboard and select the area. then move both...

No... don't move the area.

All you have to do is turn on the leader and move the tag.  The leader will always point to the intersection of the X in the room area so you can move that intersection but if you move it outside the room, the room will no longer be bounded by the same boundaries.
