I have a winder stair. How the heck do I model the underside of the stair as a flat surface so that I dont see the treads and risers?

Use sweep blend create path along spiral of stair, draw sections at top and bottom of stair. Read you manual about sweep blends.

Just a question: Why don't you use the "Monolithic Stair"?

Attached are two files which will help you with understanding the sweep blend technique.

Hi Folks,

My firm trying to model part of a project in Revit to see if it would be a viable option for us going forward.  I've attached a project file of a spiral stair as well as a pdf of a cad drawing of what we'd like the stair to look like ultimately.  I have a couple questions.

-We'd like the underside of the stair stair to be smooth and to be able to modify the depth and profile of the stringer.  You'll see in the project file that the stair has a smooth underside but the stairs on the inside of the curve project into the the smooth underside.  I've tride adjusting the riser and tread thickness and have had no luck.  Is there any way to change the smooth underside or change the stringer profile on a monolithic stair.

-We'd like to have a bullnose step at the first rise.  Is there an easy way to do this?

Any advice you could give me or tutorials or relevant threads you could direct me to would be greatly appreciated.
