I simply (one would think) want to have an earth hatch on an angle.  Though, I can't see a way to make that happen without creating an entirely new hatch (which I've never done and am trying to avoid at the moment).

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You will need a new .pat file, but you don't need to create it yourself. Search for 45° earth hatch and you chould be able to find one.

Use a model earth hatch pattern.  Model patterns can be rotated.  If you don't have a model earth hatch, you can create it by adding one line of text to your drafting earth pattern.  Add the folling line right after the title

;%TYPE=MODEL

Ok, so I've added an earth model pattern.  but when I try to save the file, it will only let me save it as a txt. file and not a .pat file.

?

How did you edit it...in word?  It is easier if you edited the pat file in wordpad or notepad but no matter, save as a txt file then rename it in your windows directory to a pat file.  Your windows has to be set up to show extensions.

This could bear repeating (from an earlier thread):

In Notepad specify "All Files" in the "Save As Type" field (that's the field below where you specify the filename) to avoid MS Notepad adding  .TXT to the saved filename. If you specify the  filename to be XYZ.PAT without selecting "All Files", Notepad will save the file you just named as XYZ.PAT with a ".txt" filename extension so you wind up saving the file as as XYZ.PAT.txt    - it's right up there as Notepad's most irritating quirk.
