Hello -

I am working on a graphic program model - using Revit Building 2010.

I began creating families for each type of room, by creating extrusions in the family editor, color coding them by material.  Ultimately, I would like to be able to position the 'rooms' together to create a conceptual program stacking diagram for the building.

The model needs to be able to tell me the area of the building once all of the rooms are in place.  Ideally, once the pieces are all in the right place I would like to convert the extrusions into actual walls so I don't have to re-create the building again when I am ready for that level of detail.

I am having a hard time because I cannot seem to assign area to the extrusions, nor do they appear in any sort of schedule.

I am hoping that others in the Community might be able to share a method by which I can do this,

Thanks

BigStein
