We're doing simple floor plan space diagrams for a building fit-out, and wanted to stack 2D axonometric floor plans.  I know in 3D view you can orient the view NW, SW, etc., but its not practical to adjust the cut box to show a sliver of the floor plan.  And there's no way I can see to orient a plan view differently once placed on a sheet.  Is it possible to do this, or do I have to dust off AutoCAD and do it there?  Arch 2009, BTW...

You can use "Orient To View" and pick a floor plan, then the 3D view will automatically use a section box to crop itself the same as the plan, including cropping vertically the same as the plan's view range (not sure I explained that very well). It will also be rotated to a top view, but you can easily rotate it back to a SW, NW etc. view.

But you still have 3D walls upto the cut plane.  I'm looking for a 2D plan shown axonometrically.  We're VERY early in schematics, to the point where we're showing line diagrams.  I know its counter-intuitive to what Revit brings to the table, but this is what the client wants to see at this point.

I know its probably too late but for future reference to anyone needing to do this same technique like You and I both wanted to.

If you export your floor plan view as a dwg, then you can import it into a different project  [or perhaps into the same project] that way it will be a flat 2d line drawing. then you can go to your 3d view and choose one of the isometric view points and viola a floor plan shown as an isometric
