You say you are having trouble, that would suggest you have a file started - but I doubt it.  Don't you really mean you can't find one.

If you already have this in CAD, then use it.  Combination files like this are near impossible to do by hand and the file description will be huge.  I suggest you use a simple crosshatch for your vertical and horizontal lines ... then add a transparent fill in views for the dot pattern, if you have to.

no I mean I have started making the pat file but can’t get it to work. don’t have cad so that is not a option. I have also found some patterns on the net that is almost there. But I can’t change them so they look right. They always get messed up when I try to change the programming.

OK... Why don't you post what you have and we can look at it.

This is a simple pattern made by adding two unbroken lines to a scaled-up and translated pattern of dots:

;%VERSION=3.0

;%UNITS=MM

*2400X960PANEL

;%TYPE=MODEL

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;        Pattern written by HatchKit v2.7 Hatch Pattern Editor

;        HatchKit v2.7 Hatch Pattern Editor(c) Cadro Pty Ltd 1990-2008.

;        www.cadro.com.au/hatchkit/

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;-Template=DOTS,A SERIES OF DOTS

;-Date    =1/03/2010

;-Time    =12:30:13 PM

;-HatchKitVersion=2.7.1.1995

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

90,0,0,0,2400

0,0,0,0,600

0,30,30,30,60,0,-60

Points sometimes don't plot well so you may prefer this:

;%VERSION=3.0

;%UNITS=MM

*2400X960PANEL2

;%TYPE=MODEL

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;        Pattern written by HatchKit v2.7 Hatch Pattern Editor

;        HatchKit v2.7 Hatch Pattern Editor(c) Cadro Pty Ltd 1990-2008.

;        www.cadro.com.au/hatchkit/

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

;-Template=DOTS,A SERIES OF DOTS

;-Source  =C:\Documents and Settings\Hugh\Desktop\DOTS.PAT

;-Date    =1/03/2010

;-Time    =12:32:04 PM

;-HatchKitVersion=2.7.1.1995

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

90,0,0,0,2400

0,0,0,0,600

0,30,30,30,60,1,-59
