Presuming it is in a toposurface ? Modify toposurface. "Split Surface". Draw line round outside face of pool walls. Finish sketch. Then delete the split you have just drawn. This becomes a void.

Hi , One further thing. I created the void area and deleted the element as you describe. However, I wish to now change the profile of the area I created. I am am able to manipulate the points which I used originally via the edit function but I wold like to add further points to define this area. How is this done? I am able to insert a new point but it doesn't link with the contour line created by the original points of the void. I was hoping that I could insert new points just as you can when editing a polyline within autocad. What do I do? cadjockey

Helo cadjockey Select your toposurface. Edit. Delete all points relating to your original void. Finish edit and your void will have been removed. Then back to original response. Draw your new shape and delete again.
