Hey all.

I haven't yet tried to do this and I am not sure what might be the best approach or recommendation from any of you who wish to give an opinion.  This forum has been such a big help so far I thought I'd ask...

I have been doing projects in Revit Structure and Acad in tandum for the past two years and it has been project specific as to which app gets used.  Our firm occasionally does the drafting for an architect client when we work with them which is always done in acad.  The rest of my office being made up of electrical and mechanical have only recently been introduced to Revit MEP.  We have a project coming up where I will be drawing both structure and architectural plans for.

What I am curious about is what appraoch would be recommended if I tried to model the architectural within Revit Structure?  Does anyone know if I will be missing some "must haves" from Revit Architecture that would make this something I shouldn't even tackle?  Thanks for your opinions!

We do not have multiple disciplines but we have discussed this.  I suggest you still keep the "projects" separate and use the file linking functions but maybe someone who has had hands on experience can enlighten us better.

Yeah - I was wondering about that...I think it's a good idea as well to have separate models.  As it turns out the company doesn't want to spend the time to do this project in Revit - So looks like I'll be waiting til the next one!

If anyone else has done this or is about to, keep us posted as I would like to know how you attacked it and how it all worked out.
