using mep2010, i saw a tutorial that showed making a plumbing system. in that tutorial they had "vent" in another color. but they never went into how to set up the filter or connector, or whatever they had to setup to show the vent in a different color. i need to know that as well as showing storm drain different from sanitary drain. plz advise.

thank you

I would use a filter to handle this. In the default template, there are some pre-existing filters already in place.

check this thread to see if it is what you are looking for.

thanks again, i don't know if you can help with the other post i had or not. i was wondering if it's possible to place a leader with no text. basically i just want to place flow arrows without having to make a filled region and copy it all over the place.

I should note, that if you have your systems defined in your model, that you can also add piping and duct legends

from the Analyze tab. There are some defaults in there and one of which will add a color fill based on system name.

Maybe easier than the filters...less management I suppose.

In the images from my previous post I had to use filters as I had no systems defined...the RFP only required and model so we didn't budget for the intelligence.

For your flow direction, I'm not too sure about that. I could dig around and see what I can find, but if there is nothing natively in Revit to display it, I would consider making a line based detila component for this. Initial thought anyways.

Vinny,

There is a no-text leader family in the downloads area ... search leader and you will find it.
