Joseph -Can't help with your current situation, but I however have a better process for rendering large animations. Render them as .tif images. Then once each frame is rendered piece them together in a program such as Microsoft movie maker (Comes free on most windows computers). I have found doing it this way you will save a lot of time. Say you are rendering a 400 frame animation, you computer crashes at frame 395. If you render the frames as .tif images you don't lose 394 frames, you only have to go back and render the last 5. Helps you pick up where you left off. HTH
