When I try to render an image from internal the image just becomes black?

 Any suggestions?

We need more information: Are you try to render an Exterior OR interior Render?, If Exterior, are you try to render a night scene or not? If interior, do you have lights and the Daylight Portal turned ON (check the image)?

In render setup you have to select the "Interier lights", default is Exterier with sun ... so in interier you dont see anything from sun now. (Just an idea)

Arrow on Attached image ... set here interier lights

thanks for your replies guys, found out what the problem was, I set up my model in the american version and wanted it in the UK version so I uninstalled, opened it up and tried to render but it wasn't picking up all the components!

 Sorted now though thanks!

 Im a total beginner so this was my first attempt!
