oh my gosh. I have been trying to insert a wall at the edge of my building pad for almost an hour now. whatever i do, i cannot select the edge of said pad...i tried re-drawing the pad, no luck. please don't tell me revit is not capable of drawing a wall at the edge of a pad. any advice greatly appreciated. thanks!

What do you mean? you can use the "Pick Line" tool when you are creating the walls...

pick line tool will allow me to choose model lines, col center lines, model faces, other walls, just not the edge of a pad. any pad when i am in a plan view - even on the same layer as said pad. it doesn't make any sense to me - it seems a fundemental feature of a building pad is to be able to draw one's building on it. is this not a feature of revit?

...to clarify, i am referring to using the pick line tool in a plan view, not default 3d. in default 3d i am able to use the pick line tool and it highlights the pads. i'd just like to figure out what i am doing wrong as it is excruciating to draw a plan in isometric views .
