I intially installed my Student version in September of 2009 in my newly purchased lap top computer of just 5 months to date. My computer appear to be falling apart as some of the key functions are falling off!!!! HP sugested that I return the laptop to them so they may fix it.....That means I have to strip my laptop of EVERYTHING I have in there....of course the Revit Architecture....Will I be starting from day one again when I am ready to download the student version or is there some kind of serial number that I need to keep from the original downloaded version..? If so where can I find this information? Please help me clarify this question I have before I start deleting aor backing up all what I have in the system.Thank you.

You can get the software and the license at the Autodesk Student website

Tom,

Thank you for your response. I have kept the registration information from Autodesk so I can just drop this in once I re-dowload the Student version on my new laptop. It appears that this would be my last chance to do this since we are only allowed twice to install the software.

Thanks again
