I'm trying to find a family distinctly the same as the standard revit duplex receptacle family, except horizontally mounted as oposed to the stndard vertical. I tried to manipulate the existing family by rotating the whole component 90 degrees, but it keeps giving me errors involving the restraints. I'm looking to show them installed in a wall mounted raceway. It's frustrating as i don't see why we can't just edit the standard one and rotate it horizontally rename and resave. I can however rotate it in the project but then i lose the annotation symbol i need for my plan drawings. any suggestions?

****also when i do edit the family and rotate it, if i delete the restraints the component loads into the project with seriously thick lines almost looks like a smudge on the drawing

If you place the out of box receptical then select it and hit space bar it will turn in spot.

Never mind I see what you mean. I worked through it though and found a solution. i have the file

Anna thank you! i will download the file and have a peek. I wound up temporaryily solving it buy using a wider raceway and installing them vertically, but the clients request was to have them horizontal. Thanks again for your help!
