Is it possible to edit and existing family, rename and reuse versus strarting from scratch like the 23 page tutorial on a pipe elbow?

Gee did you try it?  I would have and the answer is obviously yes.  All families with unique names are unique....

rcurrent,

I wasn't trying to be smart with you... just wanted you to understand one of the best learning tools is self discovery... You can almost always undo so try things out for yourself when you have an idea.  If that doesn't work, there are many good users here that will help you.

Welcome to the Revit world

No offence taken, I've been in the mechanical industry for 45 years, this forum is a great way for me to get up to speed from using ACAD and 3rd party modeling software, REVIT is a whole new learning curve for me but I do see the value in the software's direction.

Thank you for the reply.
