Hello, just started learning Revit.  I am trying to do some shadow studies in section, but it looks like I'm doing something wrong.  In some cases, the sun seems to be shining through the roof and into closets instead of through the windows.  In other cases, the section cut itself is also in shadow.

This building is one of a series that has been linked into a single site plan file.  Does this make a difference?

Any advice?  Thanks!

I'm pretty sure It can't be done correctly in sections, as with section boxes and hiding elements, Revit doesn't allow them to cast shadows as they aren't visible.  The light you're seeing is as if your building really is cut down the section line.

My suggestion to do a shadow study is to set up a 3D view inside of a room and use that, or set your eye elevation to zero and get the floor plan in the view (but this does mess up the wall due to the perspective effect)

Other then that I don't know im sorry
