Hi, I am wondering whats the best way to draw a roof that is an oval shape and in section has the roof curve to it. Kind of like a rugby ball cut in half?

I suggest you use the Conceputal Mass tool.

Set up a reference plane, set it and go to the elevation (this of course will be determine on yur roof orientation)

create the top curve of your roof

Draw a straight line under (don't let these 2 lines touch)

select the 2 lines and "Create geometry" you should get a mass like the first screenshot attached.

you can now either create a pattern in the mass or create roof by face, i chose the second method here, see scond screen shot attached.

You could also create a generic model and make it as a solid revolve

Draw the oval as your profile and set the axis line on your reference level
