Hey,

Im on Revit Architecture 2010.  Trying to create a Zebra Crossing light and I can't get the effect I'm after. If I make the light a self illuminous plastic I get the glow I want, but it wont cast shadows in a renderIf I make it glass it will cast shadows but not glowAnd if i place the light sourse outside of the bulb it doesn't cast how I want it tooIf there anyway I can get it to glow as well as cast shadows ?In otherwordsHave my light transmit through a self illuminous material, or a similar effect to create itThanks

You have to have both. Set the material with a transparency and self illuminating - you can do that.

I have tried that, transaprency doesn't seem to affect the ammount of light being emmitted

I tried with 90% tranparency, and when i renedered with sun onlyall i got was an orange circle, and no floor lighting or shadows

The amount of light also depends on your defined light source.  You set that seperately and in 2010, it seems you have to set really high otput values. Read some of the similar threads on this issue.
