I have an interesting problem and I can't seem to find a way to solve it. I am working on a VERY LARGE Revit project and in the process we have developed a bunch of specific parameters used to explain specific elements associated with the rooms (everything from phasing elements, types of construction to occupancy of the room). All of these elements are associated with the room boundaries and I am try to find a way create a 'smart' tag of some sort that will allow me to start tagging specific elements within our drawings.

I have tried creating a number of shared parameters but I cannot get the specific parameter to show up in the tag. Right now we are using a simple ‘dumb’ tag and it is hard to manage if they have been changed.

Any thoughts?

All shared parameters assigned to a family element are taggable.  You just have to create a tag that points to that shared parameter.  This "room tag" can be in addition to your "normal" room tag and will automatically place in the X center of the room but can be moved.  You can have as many tags as you need.
