Does anyone know if we can manually adjust a columns bounding box? I decided to add my base plates directly in my column families. I made them so their sizes and holes adjust automatically to the size of the columns. Works great. But in doing that I created a problem with my beams. My beams cutback a 1/2" from my base plate and not my columns anymore. That leaves a gap between my beams and columns. Is there a way to move the column's bounding box back a 1/2" from the column and not the base plate?

Just a wild guess on what might be happening, but it might be using reference planes for the bounding box. Di you use reference planes to create the base plate, and if you did, are they set to anything bun "not a reference"? that's the only thing I can think of to check.

I tried all that. Left, Right, Strong, Week reference. Also tried the define origin checked and not. Nothing that I can think of works. I even played around In the Family Category and Parameters. There is a setting called Beam cutback in plan set to From bounding box I changed to From geometry but I can't figure out what it does. Meaby the From Geometry setting is the way to go but I don't know how it works.

Would you consider sharing your family type?
