I am attempting to show ceiling heights via filters graphically for design purposes.
So far, Since Spaces do not have a bounded space height parameter, I have added a shared project parameter to the spaces and managed to get them to highlight the perimeter of the space with different colors based on its bounded ceiling height shared parameter. The filtering works great.
The problem is, I cannot get the space to divide volume by area to get the height. I could certainly get a schedule to do that, but I cannot color code based on a schedule "calculated value"
Revit MEP has to have this data stored somewhere... how else would it be calculating my volume?
I have already checked the help files, the parameters of rooms and spaces both do not have this parameter, the only place it is located is the actual ceiling object, and I cannot copy monitor that, let alone filter it for color coding.
Alternate ideas welcome.

Inner space is not surrounded by outer space with higher height.
