I am trying to create a door with 2 circular glass portholes and symbolic lines to show the correct opening direction. I can't seem to get the lines to draw where I need them. Can anybody give me some tips?

are you having trouble with the glass position or the symbolic lines? if lines you are talking about, in elevation use the pick tool and lock into place using the little lock symbol (what else?) Smile

I am trouble creating an opening. The opening keeps saying "not cutting anything" and I can't get it onto the right plane. I'll just use the Void tool instead. I also can't work out how to draw the symbolic lines in the correct plane.

are you trying to cut the door in the project??? or the family? in the family use void and make sure after you finish your sketch to tell the void what to cut and also make sure that it is actualy going through the door... not infront of my Revit right now, trying to get the old memory going Smile
