I am using Revit Structure 2010.

I don't know if this is possible or not...so here we go.

I am elevating the footings on my current job.  Typically the footing snaps to the bottom of the column which is all fine and dandy, but my columns were all put in with an arbitrary height initially b/c we didn't have the footings sized.  I see under the instance properties for a footing there is a line that says "dimensions" and below it is a greyed out "elevation at bottom" line.  Is there a way to make that editable?  Being able to type in the elevation would be a huge time saver as opposed to typing in the offset from the reference level.

Thanks.

No, that parameter is calculated by Revit and cannot be manually edited. It really shouldn't be that hard to give all the footings an offset though. What I did when I was in structure was have a separate level for the main footing heights (e.g., top of pad footings, top of wall footings). Then I just had to give a couple oddball footings an offset from that level.

Ah thats unfortunate.  Yeah it won't be a problem to do it with offsets, I just happened to notice that greyed out elevation earlier and thought that could make life a little easier but its all good.  Thanks for the quick response.
