I have a gypsum ceiling in which I have to integrate some acoustic tiles. I am using the split face command so I can apply a different material to each different face. Making multiple ceiling every time I have a different material on the ceiling will make the file too heavy. Now I have to edit the split face region because I have to modify the dimensions. I am not able to edit the split face lines, even using TAB! There is no way I am able to select a line or a face created by the Split Face command so I can modify the alignement! Is there any solution other than redrawing the ceiling every time I want to make a change or making different ceilings for each material(which is to heavy!)?

Why don't you select by "Crossing" then go to the "Filter" tool and select only what you want?

When I do a Crossing selection and then Filter it by choosing Split Face, it selects only the face and I am not able to do any modification to the face exept moving it (and copy, mirror, etc). What I want to do is to select a line from the splitted face and to move it. I want to edit the splitted face boundary. Any suggestions?

This is exactly what I was trying to do! My problem was that the "Edit Boundary" function wouldn't appear because I had several Splitted Faces selected. Now I am selecting only one at a time. Thanks a lot! very helpful!

Actually, I had splitted the same face twice ; this is why when I crossed selected the ceiling it detected 2 splitted face.

Or you can model the ceiling as you're building it. In other words, sketch the ceiling(s) as intended and change the type(s) of the ceiling, rather than using a split face tool. In my opinion, editing a ceiling is a lot easier to do than editing a split face. Plus, you can schedule it more accurately if needed.
