Hey all,

Ever since revit architecture 2010 was released with the new layout, i've been having troubles with in placed models and selecting the workplane for it to be drawn on.

I use the model in-place feature to draw in the gable infills for the roof. However, when i try to do this now, I click (once in elevation view) Home > component (dropdown box) > Model In-Place > Select walls as category > Solid > Extrusion. In the older versions (07-09) a box now came up at this stage asking to select the workplane you wanted this drawn on. This however doesn't happen anymore.

So what i really am looking for is how to set the workplane for an inplaced model?

At the HOME tab on the right side you have the work plane, click in SET and choose the work plane you want...
