a simple U shaped stair usually has 2 flights and 1 intermediate landing. because of the tall floor to floor height i need to create a similar stair with a second loop, 4 flights and 3 intermediate landings, in the same foot print. my problem is when creating/editing this stair the boundry and riser lines would overlap and resulted in a strange looking stair or not working. is it possible to create this kinda stairs?

Yes, it's possible but i don't advise to do that... see this: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=8494 and this: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=6371
