I have a project where I am tagging/scheduling equipment. I need to split the schedules up on sheets so that only the equipment on the sheet is in the schedule on that sheet. The way I am doing it now is I have a text parameter for all the equipment where I enter the sheet number, and the schedule on that sheet filters by that parameter. I would like to make this more automatic, so if I place a piece of equipment in the ground level kitchen it only shows up in the schedule for that area, and I don't have to do anything else. I tried using rooms (I can add the room name parameter to the schedule and filter by it), but the equipment doesn't seem to be tied in any way to the room. Is there another way to do this, or am I stuck with the way I came up with?

The schedule is a multi-category schedule, and the stuff I am scheduling is mostly specialty equipment, with a few plumbing fixtures, if that makes any difference.

I schedule furnishings all the time by room.  Just add rooms to your schedule to filter by and hide that column.

Ok, knowing that the room method should work got me looking closer, and it turns out the schedule phase was set to project completion instead of new construction. Seems to be working now.
