Hi,

I'm currently working on a large project with a lot of identical rooms. I created groups for the rooms and everything worked fine so far. But now i have to edit the doors in the groups and keep getten error messages. After i change the doortype and finish the group i get the massage "instance of [door family] not cutting anything. And the doors of some families dissapear. Some doors dissapear and others don't, and the number of groups that are affected varies with serveral attempts.

The doors are not completely gone. when I hover the mouse over the groups i can see the door as if it is excluded from the group. But i can't include it to the group anymore.

Your problem is exactly as noted.  When you changed your door type, the new type is no able to find an appropriate host.

Look at insertion point of the two door types... also opening cut location.

How do i find the insertionpoint? The help file says it's the origin of a family but i don't know how to find it in the door family. And to what exactly do i have to pay attention when looking at the insertion point and the opening cut.

btw this problem doesn't only occur when switching between two doors, but als sometimes when editing a instance parameter of a door.
