I'm a structural drafter trying to learn revit and boy, it's a process! I've been at Revit since oct and I still feel like a dunce... Some of the biggest hang-ups I have with Revit is the terminology. I don't understand what an "in-place mass" is. for every mass I make, do I have to make a family? I want to go back to CAD ! lol.

"I don't understand what an "in-place mass" is." - A "In-place" is a "Family" created directly into the project. Moddeling>create... choose the category you want and create whatever you want.... (In Revit 2009) in 2010 is "Home>Component>Model in-place"

I Hope and I Wish to LEARN more, and more, and more.... REVIT |
